Some Small Moments

Moment
Some short quotes:

“Let everything happen to you
Beauty and terror
Just keep going
No feeling is final”

R.M. Rilke

"launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment."
Henry Thoreau

Carpe Diem

Margaret Atwood reads her poem 'The Moment'

The moment when...

The moment when
everything becomes
more really false than it is.
Your eyes, pools in the distance
across the table from me, looking
at me, looking -
I look
at you. Reclining in your chair you smirk,
laugh, frown. Silly stories
of cars crashing into pits in the ground, filling up
with shit, times when you ate a spider, threw up
in the taxi home, the candle burns low.

It's warm, in this scene. And the sky is dark outside.
We are here, somewhere
the clock counts down
the minutes
we fall off
piece by piece
we leave - until
empty only the
candle embers
empty cans.

Poetry in the Moment

In the moment
she saw that it could be
alright. In the end
it was only a moment.

Poetry in the moment, for
the moment, at
the time, from
a memory?
